Robert Lehman Cedar Creek Preserve

Project Summary
The 37-acre Robert Lehman Cedar Creek Preserve is located in the Blackfoot River Watershed along Cedar Creek northwest of Blackfoot.  The project involved the restoration of Cedar Creek which had been diverted into a ditch.  The project partners worked together to create new stream channel, plant native willows and other species, and weed control.

Project Goals:

• To protect natural and working lands in perpetuity.
• Improve riparian condition, water quality, and habitat for the Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout;
• To sustain priority natural resource features for the long-term through monitoring and adaptive management
