Robert Lehman Cedar Creek Preserve
Project Summary
The 37-acre Robert Lehman Cedar Creek Preserve is located in the Blackfoot River Watershed along Cedar Creek northwest of Blackfoot. The project involved the restoration of Cedar Creek which had been diverted into a ditch. The project partners worked together to create new stream channel, plant native willows and other species, and weed control. Each year we are joined by local boy scout troops to help with weed control and stream bank stabilization. The Preserve has changed dramatically since the restoration of Cedar Creek began and we are excited to see it continue to return to its natural state!
